A day at the theme park can be relaxing and helps to ease of any first-time meeting anxieties that one may experience at more formal places such as restaurants. You can get a more realistic view of her personality when she is at ease. It is also cheaper than going to expensive restaurants for a dinner.

An art film or live play
The latest movies may be very appealing, you may think. But does that really bring out your personality? Instead, you may want to bring her to the local theatre for a good art film, or a live play. After that, you may want to bring her for some quick bites or some drinks and chat about what you've just seen. This can bring deeper insight of each other's personalities. Your date may be really impressed with your choice of activity for the first date.

Gourmet meals at a restaurant is the staple, safe choice but may be expensive. How about trying something else for a changed. An exotic dinner can be an adventure for the two of you. Sample some exotic Indian curries. Or how about some spicy Thai food to tingle those taste buds. A Turkish restaurant, a Japanese eatery... Fire up your imagination and choose somewhere different and exciting. Be sure to ask your date first though as she may have some allergies to certain foods or may be averse to certain types of fare.
