Flirting is fun. However, it takes practice before you can become a master flirt! Here are some tips to start you of.

• Smile
  Show your bright whites! A smile improves your features plus it’s also a great form of exercise. It shows you’re approachable so it’s the first step for someone to get to know you. Smile and if he/ she smiles back, go ahead and strike up a conversation!
  
  
• Maintain eye contact
  The eyes are a window to one’s soul so it becomes the main feature on ones face. During conversation, established eye contact and show that you’re truly interested. Do not scare off your potential date by looking at him/ her in an odd way. Starring too intently may also frighten off your date so only look at the person for a maximum of three seconds and then look away.

• Keep the conversation going
  Be sure you can keep the conversation going. Silence makes the whole flirting scenario awkward. Stay to save and non-controversial topics such as family, hobbies, likes & dislikes. If he/ she is an intellectual, progress on to philosophy, politics or economics. Make sure the both of you are on the same wavelength or else the flirting might be disastrous!

• Learn to listen
  Learning to listen is as important as keeping the conversation going. Listening is an art by itself and listening can either be active or passive. Nothing registers in passive listening but active listening is part of effective communication. Reassure your date by occasionally reinforcing what is said by an “ahha”, or even “is that so?”. Once they know you’re paying attention and interested in the conversation, they will open up even more.
